Les nominés pour cette année de la Voiture Européenne de l'Année sont tous très digne, mais il y a quelques notables absenteesAs un misérable individu parmi 58 de la Voiture Européenne de l'Année jurés de 22 pays, je trouve toujours un peu angoissant à cette époque de l'année, à comparer mon choix de sept finalistes de la dernière compétition avec ceux de mes pairs. La plupart des années que je suis en désaccord avec le jugement combiné dans une certaine mesure, mais cette année Ive a établi un record personnel en obtenir seulement trois des sept finalistes « droit », en quelque sorte. vous aurez vu le combiné choix maintenant : Ford B-Max, Hyundai i30, Mercedes classe a, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio, Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ, Volkswagen Golf et Volvo V40. Il existe en fait huit d'entre eux – un événement rare, parce que deux voitures septième place (dont l'identité ne pouvaient pas savoir) a marqué un nombre identique de candidatures. Cette année je suis d'accord seulement avec mes pairs au cours de leur choix de Clio, GT86/BRZ et Golf. Mes quatre qui ne permettait pas était la BMW Série 3, Mazda 6, Renault Zoe et Range Rover. « Leur » qui a fait cinq sont le B-Max, i30, intégraux, 208 et V40 – mais je dois dire que la liste définitive semble encore assez bon, en dehors de ce que je vois comme une préoccupation de COTY normale avec des voitures de faible valeur. En particulier, je suis désolé sur le Range Rover. C'est un tel véhicule spécial qu'il richement méritent d'être reconnus. Idem la série 3, qui a si brillamment allie efficacité et performance. Rien à l'argent fournit la manière dont la dernière 320d. Son aussi une honte de la Zoe, étant donnée que COTY a été assez bon en reconnaissant les hybrides et les voitures électriques (Nissan Leaf a été dernier vainqueur années) et la Zoe prend la race nouvelle. Et la Mazda 6 – une autre voiture grosse très efficace avec la permission de technologie SkyActiv – le premier Mazda qui se sent honnête à-Dieu-sophistiqués. Le gagnant ? Me frappe que la chaussure est le Golf, une voiture brillante et pourtant tout à fait ordinaire qui est pratiquement toutes choses à pratiquement tous les hommes. Mais ne prenez pas n'importe quel avis de moi. Jusqu'à présent dans cette compétition Ive a seulement été 42. droit de 9 pour cent. Jusqu'à son ouverture sans doute encore jolie. Most years I disagree with the combined judgement to some degree, but this year Ive set a personal record by getting only three out of seven finalists 'right', as it were. Youll have seen the combined choice by now: Ford B-Max, Hyundai i30, Mercedes A-class, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio, Toyota GT86/Subaru BRZ, Volkswagen Golf and Volvo V40. There are actually eight of them – a rare occurrence, because two seventh-placed cars (whose identity were not allowed to know) scored an identical number of nominations. This year I only agreed with my peers over their choice of the Clio, GT86/BRZ and Golf. My four that didnt make it were the BMW 3-series, Mazda 6, Renault Zoe and Range Rover. 'Their' five that did are the B-Max, i30, A-class, 208 and V40 – yet I have to say the final list still looks pretty good, apart from what I see as a normal COTY preoccupation with low-value cars. In particular, Im sorry about the Range Rover. It is such a special vehicle that it richly deserved recognition. Ditto the 3-series, which so brilliantly combines efficiency with performance. Nothing at the money delivers the way the latest 320d does. Its also a shame about the Zoe, given that COTY has been pretty good at recognising hybrid and electric cars (Nissans Leaf was last years winner) and the Zoe takes the breed somewhere new. And the Mazda 6 – another highly efficient big car courtesy of SkyActiv technology – is the first-ever Mazda that feels honest-to-God sophisticated. The winner? Strikes me the shoe-in is the Golf, a brilliant yet entirely mainstream car that is practically all things to practically all men. But dont take any notice of me. So far in this competition Ive only been 42. 9 per cent right. So its probably still pretty open. Well know for real on 4 March, the day before the Geneva motor show starts.
