Four of the transport corridor are candidates for green corridors, given the enormous volume of traffic.
1. Corridor A.
Railway ring between the larger ports in Rotterdam, Holland, Genoa, Italy. The governments of these countries, the management of railway transportation and other players in the transport sector have formed a consortium to simplify administrative matters, contributing to the efficiency of transport services. It is an interesting model that could be further developed and complemented, for example branching transport terminals along the route.
2. Bendersky Corridor.
Highway and railway from Munich, Germany through the Alps and Bendersky pass in Torino, Italy. The countries through which it will pass routealready started to work on improving infrastructure, removing bottlenecks and defining administrative obstacles and risks in the security / the protection of goods that need to be addressed.
3. West corridor.
Inter — modal transport corridor from Rotterdam via Denmark and the West coast of Sweden in Oslo, Norway. Sweden has established contacts with ministries and other agencies related to transportation in these countries. The next step will be to develop a General Protocol to improve the efficiency of this route and use all the benefits provided by the inter-modal transportation.
4. The East — West corridor.
From Denmark to the West along the southern coast of Sweden and across the Baltic sea to Baltic States, Belarus and via the TRANS — Siberian Highway in China. Traffic flows through this corridor today is not very crowded, but has great potential. EU countries around the Baltic sea macro — region, where special emphasis should be placed on the development and growth of several industries, including transportation.
