On his first motorcycle and the passion that brought him into the world Motorsport journalists Motonews. EN told multiple participant of the world championship WSBK, the pilot and owner of the Russian team Rivamoto Eduard Blokhin.

Edward Blokhin was born in Omsk October 24, 1973 year in 1997 he graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI), Faculty of Aircraft Engines Department (CSD). In 2006, Edward became interested in motorsports and seriously and now 3 years represents its own team at the World Championships in Supersport class WSBK. Married, has two daughters (Zoe, 21 year and Vika, 6 years).

Edward, tell us please about your own involvement in Motorsport, what the WSBK championship? Hobby, hobby or business?
Participation in racing for me is a very big and important part of my life, because it includes both business and Hobbies, and sports activities, and the opportunity to develop themselves physically. I am very much time to devote to physical training and how to develop their team as a business. And of course - hobby, because I am constantly talking with people close to me in spirit, with very interesting people. Participation in the world Superbike championship brings all of these components at the highest level.

C what yet started the passion for motorcycling? How did the team?
The first motorcycle I bought in 2005, it was a liter Honda CBR1000 Sportbike to ride on it I absolutely could not, accordingly, neither it, nor even on any motorcycle. So when he went in the city, were two very hard fall. Then I realized that in order to safely ride around the city, you need to learn how to ride and started to come to train in Myachkovo. In 2006 I first went to prepared your motorcycle on a race track, it was Brno. Since 2006 I started training on different tracks. Needless to say, in the city to ride a motorcycle interest in me was gone. That's the way I developed an interest in motorcycling. Accordingly, there was interest, there was excitement, there was some experience. In late 2006 I first visited the Superbike stage, it was just too Brno, and then lit up the dream at least once, with at least one race to go in this championship. The dream I was able to accomplish in 2010, when I passed not one, but five stages in the wildcard system. And since 2011 I spent two years acted as a permanent pilot world championship. In 2013 I want to continue this tradition.

What results puts the team before himself this season?
This season we hope to continue to develop as a professional team. Accordingly, it is impossible without attracting sponsors. So now we are focusing on working with sponsors. As sports results, make in advance in any sport - it is a thankless task, but in racing, it is a thankless task twice. We hope that we'll be able to climb at least on higher ground than could rise last season.

Race racing, and enough time for family, friends, relatives and loved ones? Do close this hobby?
(The question is the wife of Edward, Marina, which always tries to escort the pilot to the stages of the world championship)
Yes, of course I would like to Edik gave us more time to me, children. But I love what he enjoys - racing themselves and Superbike like. I love our team, so I can't complain, our life is very interesting. Moreover, children are very passionate about this: the elder wants to sit on the bike, a sport he enjoys, and the younger the more. So we stand for! We are for everything that happens to us. We rejoice in that.

Please tell us about the team, the motorcycle on which the team will perform this season?
As for the technical training of our team, it looks as follows: in the season 2013 we changed the brand, Yamaha instead we chose Honda. The solution for us was not so easy, but certain agreements on technical support from Honda has spurred us to this decision. So the motorcycles we would, in principle, a very high level, with good electronics, with well-trained motors. So I hope that in technical terms, our team for the 2013 season suitable competitive. As for the base, our team is based in winter in Spain, because the test is only possible in winter in Spain, in order to reduce the cost of logistics in all our tests, we are based directly on the route Jerez. In the summer we have a base in Italy, too, for logistical reasons, as Italy is close to almost all tracks, which is our championship. We also have a long-standing relationship with one of the Italian teams, we are very good friends, collaborate, share technical innovations. We hope that our technical equipment in 2013 will enable us to achieve better results than last season.

How is the preparation for the sports season?
In the offseason, I pay great attention to physical preparation. Train I diverse. Training I work seven days a week. Two days a week I spend riding in Krylatskoye velodrome for track Cycling. Three days a week I run, work on the horizontal bar, parallel bars. And two days a week I spend riding a motocross bike. To drive on a dirt bike I started to learn but with this winter. Now basically so far traveled on the ice, but I hope that maybe you'll be able to train and motocross tracks. So, my physical condition, my physical readiness allows me to participate in the world championship in my 39 years.

Edward, on which tracks your chances of a good result?
About the chances of any race tracks to say, of course, very difficult, because it depends on the condition of the track, but in principle, we hope that the first high result we show on our test track, we choose - Aragon, and secondly, of course, the British track - Donington and Silverstone, which are for Jack's family. It will focus there on the highest possible results. As for the weather conditions, in principle, for us, oddly enough, but rain race more beneficial than dry, because the test results, and last season showed that racing in the rain any pilot can achieve results higher than what he gets to do it in dry conditions.

Recall that in addition to the team decision to change from motorcycle Yamaha Honda very significant step Rivamoto was the conclusion of the contract with the Irishman Jack Kennedy, who last season won the title of Vice-champion in British Supersport.

With a bit of imagination might look like world Superbike next 20 years?
As for my vision racing and in particular Superbike, I think that will change technique, the type of motorcycle, power motors, will be improved electronics, will be improved tires, some technical elements of the motorcycle. But the very meaning of the races he probably will not change ever, because if we talk about the fact that in Ancient Rome there were chariot races, and, in principle, the essence was and is the one who will come first. Of course, now it's not one horsepower, as it once was, and 200 HP and more. Over time, changing technology, but the intensity of the struggle and the essence of racing remain unchanged. . .
