French Toast: Our goal - the sixth season

On the day of the presentation of the new Scuderia Toro Rosso STR8 team leader France Toast cooked on the preparation for the new season and his expectations...
France Toast: "Stability is an important quality for teams of Formula 1, but sometimes there comes a point when changes are necessary, and in preparation for his eighth season with Scuderia Toro Rosso changed the approach.
The new building base in Faenza equipped with the most modern equipment and, more importantly - highly qualified specialists. We manufacture more nodes and elements of the machine that allows you to fully guarantee the timing and quality that is extremely important for the progress of the team. Even on the more progress we expect to launch another new building in 2014 year - this will be our operational center, new spacious offices for engineers and designers who are now working in more confined spaces. In addition, this building will house the departments of the Assembly, quality control and machine shop.
If we talk about the organizational structure of the team, in the winter we founded the group responsible for improving the efficiency of the machine - it was headed by the chief engineer Laurent Makes. This group will work on a variety of areas, focusing on the analysis of data in this aspect we can make serious progress, and modeling that will help the team in the decision making process. All this should speed up the rate of operation of the machine, especially in the field of mechanics. On the other side, we cannot neglect aerodynamics - there are plans to strengthen departments, working with wind tunnel and CFD.
This team is filled with new people. James Key has served as technical Director six months ago, the chief designer Luca Furbetta works in Faenza little more than a year, and STR8 - first car, built under their supervision.
Both riders will be new race engineers. Daniel Riccardo - Marco Matassa - before he was engaged in the analysis of telemetry and already worked with Daniel in some races last season and on tests. Engineer Jean-Eric Verne will be Phil Charles, a former race engineer Renault F1. Gianfranco Fantuzzi several decades spent traveling around the world, working in Formula 1, in particular in the role of Manager of our team, and decided to rest from journeys. We are pleased to welcome Steve Nielsen, which it replaced. Steve is an experienced officer, he worked for many years in Renault F1 and long - in Caterham.
Of course, we expect more from our pilots who spend their second season in Formula 1. At the same time we understand that we must provide a machine that allows you to more fully demonstrate their undeniable talent.
However, not everyone in the Scuderia Toro Rosso will be new. As I said, we have kept the pilots, and I am glad that the three main sponsor Cepsa, Falcon Private Bank and Nova Chemicals will continue to support us this season. As supplier of motors, for the seventh year we will use engines from Maranello.
The 2013 season has not yet started, but we're seriously thinking about 2014, when the Formula 1 is waiting for the most serious changes in the regulations for the last time. Like other teams in the pit lane, we have started to prepare for this event.
Predictions for 2013? 'll see. We had a very serious work and hope that in three of the February series of tests, some trends will become clear, but before the cars will line up on the starting line before the start of the Grand Prix, a clear picture is not worth waiting. However, our goal is sixth place in the Cup of designers at the end of the season".
