Bruno Senna: in formula 1, I rarely felt happy

Bruno Senna in his column in the pages of the Austrian Motorsport Magazin talked about why he decided to move on to world championship racing, endurance, and why race in the Formula 1 has ceased to please him...
Bruno: "you Know, many appreciate my departure from the Formula 1 world championship races on endurance, as a sign of defeat and a clear step backwards. No wonder, consider all the Formula 1 pinnacle of Motorsport, but personally I look at the situation differently.
I don't think that should be in formula 1 at any cost, just for the fact of participation. Honestly: over the past three years in formula 1, I rarely felt happy, on the contrary-I more lost the pleasure of racing. I constantly had to fight with the windmills, especially outside of the road, and never had the chance to show what I really can do.
I have won races in all Junior series, in which I took part, I know that I can win, but my last victory was a long time ago - in 2008, and the last of the podium in 2009) I have missed this experience these emotions at the top of the podium, which help to cope with stress and temporary failures.
Proposals that I had for 2013, did not promise anything good. I must say that not all the information about my chances for a place in one way or another team that appeared on the Internet last week, was reliable. Sometimes I wondered myself what was read, but such rumors, for various reasons, sometimes deliberately initiated.
So I decided to choose another sequel. I won't say that will never sit behind the wheel of a Formula 1 - never say never, but the situation should be appropriate.

Now I am very glad that I got a chance to play for Aston Martin, which will be in the group of leaders who will fight for the podium, perhaps even for the victory. To win the 24 hours of Le Mans is a dream of every rider, even if, as some say, it will happen "only" in the GTE category.
I am sure, with the Aston Martin I will have the opportunity to regain the joy of victory. That's why I'm glad everything happened so quickly. For the first time we talked last week, on Monday evening I visited the base team, and was impressed with her professionalism. Here almost everything is done according to the standards of Formula 1, although involved fewer people. I was received warmly and kindly, I quickly agreed, and Tuesday night signed a contract.
Now I'm looking forward to test in mid-February. This, too, I like WEC - there are many opportunities for a test, you spend behind the wheel much more time than in other series. The first race of our program will be held at the American Sebring in mid-March. World championship racing endurance starts on the 14th of April at Silverstone, and consists of eight stages.
This means that between the races will be long pauses, and I will be able to do something else. We'll see how things develop in any case, now I'm really happy and hope that I can repay Aston Martin for the confidence they have shown in me".
