Ersättning för BMW 1-serie Coupé har setts i Tyskland. Detta är den första utflykt för kommande BMW 2-serie Coupé, bilen som kommer att ersätta 1-serie Coupe 2014. Det kommer att sitta inom intervallet BMW på samma sätt som den nyligen tillkännagivna 4-serien, som ersätter den 3-serie Coupé och cabriolet. Den nya bilen är baserad på den nuvarande 1-serien, så bör gynnas av att bilar ökade inre utrymme, tillsammans med bredare spår fram och bak, men har en längre Bakre överhäng. Under förklädnad verkar bilen har antagit styling halvvägs mellan den 1-serien och 4-serien. Det dubbla njuren och lamporna är inte lika smal och smärt som 4, men bilarna övergripande proportioner ger en lägre, smidigare effekt än en 1-serien proportioner. Det blir en högpresterande 2-serien som kommer att ersätta 1 M Coupe, som har varit mer av en försäljningssuccé än BMW ursprungligen väntat - det väl mottagna M135i har påverkat varumärkets attityd mot fler små M-bilar. Och bilen kunde ligga till grund för en M2, med risken för att den baseras på 1-serien salongen för närvarande under utveckling. BMW har ännu att besluta om att bilen blir främre eller bakre-wheel drive. Replacement for the BMW 1-series Coupe has been spotted testing in Germany. This is the first outing for the forthcoming BMW 2-series Coupe, the car which will replace the 1-series Coupe in 2014. It will sit within the BMW range in the same manner as the recently announced 4-series, which replaces the 3-series Coupe and cabrio. The new car is based on the current 1-series, so should benefit from that cars increased interior space, along with wider tracks front and rear, but has a longer rear overhang. Underneath the disguise the car appears to have adopted styling halfway between that of the 1-series and the 4-series. The double kidney grille and the lights are not as narrow and slender as the 4, but the cars overall proportions give a lower, sleeker effect than a 1-series proportions. There will be a high-performance 2-series that will replace the 1M Coupe, which has been more of a sales success than BMW originally expected - the well-received M135i has influenced the brand's attitude towards more small M cars. And the car could form the basis of an M2, with the possibility of it being based on the 1-series saloon currently under development. BMW has yet to decide if that car will be front or rear-wheel drive.
