For the record, the racing version of this engine is a joint effort between HPD and Honda R&D Americas in Ohio, the teams working together to create a powerful racing engine that meets the ACOs lower price targets for LMP2. Said Pagenaud: Ive been part of this engines evolution since the first test. Not only does it cover miles and miles, but HPD engineers have found more torque and power at each test. This definitely is going to be a serious weapon in LMP2. Well see if hes right.
