Hagerty, a leading provider of collector car insurance, has announced the launch of the Youth Reporter Contest as part of its Operation Ignite! Youth Advocacy program. Each participant in the contest has to upload a three to five minute video that showcases their reporting skills on a collector car event or relevant collector car topic to the contest website by May 1, 2011. Initially, a Hagerty judging panel will select the top ten videos. In order to determine the winner each of these videos will be shown online where the public can vote for their favorite video. The contest winner and one parent/guardian will win all-expense-paid trips to four major automotive events with Hagerty, including the famous Pebble Beach Concours d Elegance during Monterey Classic Car Week in Monterey, Calif. The Youth Reporter Contest expands our youth-focused programs to reach a new group of young enthusiasts who are passionate about sharing their interest and knowledge of collector cars, said McKeel Hagerty, CEO of Hagerty Insurance Agency.
