The new MG6 sedan will begin in July in Goodwood, UK. To start the sale, it will start in the "country of origin", but next year it is planned to "exit" to the markets of Europe. The intended audience of novelties are those drivers who now choose used BMW 3 Series, Jaguar X-Type and Rover 75. Sedan will be the second after hatchback with a similar model, by which Chinese SAIC producer-the current owner of the famous English company MG Motor-makes the first attempt to expand into the European market. The Chinese concern is focused on the sedan, as it is considered to be among the buyers more prestigious, more "premium" modification. The car has almost the same dimensions as the BMW of the third series and will be advertised on the most popular Internet sites in England-used car sales. Their visitors, as the analysis shows, are actively looking for the Bavarian Treschs. The MG6 sedan will be offered in two versions-SE and TSE. The basic installation will include an electronic exchange control system, electronic "assistant" at start up, air-conditioner, central lock with remote control. More expensive versions will get satellite navigation. The list of sedans will exceed a similar hatchback list, but the engine will only be one-1,2-1,2-liter turbocharged fuel-turbocharged MG Rover series. The gearbox is also one of five-speed mechanics. The powertrain promises a good economy: the fuel consumption will have to be at an average of 7.9 litres per 100 km. In the future, the company plans to equip the model with its 1.9 litre diesel model and 6-speed mechanics, but this is the end of 2012-early 2013. The release of "automatic" versions is not expected. The car will be built in Longbridge, near Birmingham. The bodies and powertrains will be supplied from China. This year, SAIC intends to sell about 1000 MG-6, 500 sedans and hatchbekov. The firm hopes to increase interest in the model with the expansion of the range of power units. Independent experts note that the Anglo-Chinese model has a good boot size, a decent level of equipment, good manageability and a reasonable price (about 18,200 euros). Among the shortcomings are the modest capacity of 1.8-litre engine, the quality of the interior and the residual value of the SAIC portfolio there are a number of new models at different stages of preparation for production. They included a hatchback MG3, as well as a compact SUV G5, a suspected rival of Nissan Qashqai.
