From time to time, Moscow turns into a parade is not just expensive, but insanely beautiful cars of the past. Now retro-rally combine those motorists of the old school, who spend every weekend in the garage, fingering my old "Moskvich" and millionaires with their collectible rarities.
The Treasure on the wheels of the Mercedes 500KRally "Shopard" is special, and not everyone can take part in it. It is not just a machine produced before 1969-a timer in perfect technical condition, of historical value, is needed. Of course, the second requirement is very conventionally, and the main "filter" is still a small starting fee. Therefore, the presence of domestic machinery in this race is reduced to a minimum. However, and on the radiant 21 "Volga" there are very wealthy people who have not chosen Rolls Royce only for political-nostalgic reasons. The name of L. U. C Chopard Classic Weekend Rally was received by the name of a Swiss watch stamp, which is not the first year sponsored by Mille Miglia, the famous 9th-Moscow event. And if there were only a dozen crews to start in 2003, it is ten times more in 2010. What cars are you looking for? In the event "Veteran", real unitum, whose value today surpasses modern automobiles many times. For example, Mercedes-Benz 500K 1938 is the birthmark of a fascist Germany, which is now estimated to be several million euros. Packard Models 902 and Super Eight of the 1930s-these machines competed in America with fashionable Cadillac and Duesenberg. The rare and luxurious Horch 853 Cabriolet is another survivor of a German car after the war. President Chopard Carl-Friedrich Schäufel behind the wheel of Ferrari 250GTF was represented by far more cars, and among them there were interesting copies. For example, the English Bentley S1 selected several participants, and these were highly valuable modifications of Coupe. Chopard Carl-Friedrich Schäuffel, who traditionally participates in the rally, was seen driving a red Ferrari 250GT. This car is rumours to be owned by Mercury, the main organizer of the race. It was not lost on this background and the second rarity "Italian"-a compartment of the Maserati 3500 GT1963. But the majority of participants have traditionally chosen Mercedes, Jaguar, Rolls Royce-these marks are most often seen in Russian Retra rally. The competition was granted in the Tretyakovskoye area, the route passed through the center of the capital, and the finish line was formed in the Barwid Luxury Village. But the simple and oily trip of the river-rallying seems to be only from the outside: in fact, within this ancient scuffle, the quietest passions were boiling. Out of the open cars were heard of the storymen who were trying desperately to channel their pilots in the right direction. Porsche 356 Gleb Rachko and Nikita Goodkowitemeritus cars were overheated and broke in the most unsuitable place. Let' s say the majestic ZIS-110E Ludmilla Len and Tatiana De Bouar has been toughing up in the middle of the control of the time. On the slalom (the Retro-Rally implies such "special plots") the wheel at the blue Chevrolet Camaro SS number 127. Almost immediately after the start of the race, one of the main vehicles of the race-Andrey Pankov-was lost. In general, the passions of sometimes heated up quite untidy. Early medical assistance at Rolls Royce and photo typesas is believed to be the most successful crew on the podium, and in addition to the chronometers of L. U. C Chopard was given the opportunity to roam the neighbors to the podium champagne Moyet & Chandon. Winners: First place-Yuri Pratchkin and Sergey Makarenko (1929 Bentley Tourer)-The second place-Grigory Berezkin and Victor Timkowski (1931 Bentley Mulliner) Third place-Alexander Alibekov and Tatiana Novozeltsev (1938 Mercedes-Benz 500K): First place-Anna Derkach and Olga Shadrin (1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz) Second place-Sergei Gerashchenko and Vadim Schneider (1950 Jaguar XK120) Third place-Gleb Rachko and Nikita Gudkov (1961 Porsche 356). From participant: Gleb Rachko, Director of OldtimerCars. We were the last of the navigator, Nikita Gudkov. The thing is, we had the 128th starting number, so we had to wait at the start. But at the finish, they came straight to the banquet! I mean, I'm not really strong at it. I got cold in front of the race, so I was driving with a fever. But to miss this event like the L.U. C Chopard, I couldn't -- that would be a crime! Fortunately, the main role of the rally on the regularity of the movement is played by the driver, the pilot only turns the steering wheel, where they will be told, and the fire on the pedal. Of course, some work has to be done: keep the average pace, for example. And this, by the way, to the University of 1961, isn't that easy!Winners of the AbsolutPrimary mission of the crew-not to make mistakes, to clearly follow the legend, to know thoroughly the rules of the competition. The speed here is not important, though when we once turned the wrong way, we had to chase all the money off Moscow's alleys to catch up. That's when I realized that Porsche was a Porsche: our escort vehicle -- the new Passat CC -- had barely kept up with us. Of course, as in all technical sports, the factor of luck is inevitable. When you see the other participants go, you pray your car won't fail. Fortunately, we didn' t have any problems with the Avtoville Museum, which, kindly offered us this red 66th Porsche, can support cars in perfect condition. Mikhail Zhvanetsky took part in Rolls Royceik, counting the age of the car. The older the car, the bigger the chances of winning. For example, our car was released in 1961. In general, there are usually instances before 1979. But if you want to take the Shopard, you need a car not younger than 1969. But the main thing is the navigator! His age is not important, but experience and intelligence are very important!
