Allison: new machine was reliability

Kimi Raikkonen finished Friday on the first line of the Protocol that team Lotus F1 has become quite symbolic ending test session in Jerez: the whole team happy new machine. The program of the day was mainly devoted to assessing the effectiveness of aerodynamics, as well as checking the exhaust system.
Kimi Raikkonen: "We continued the work started yesterday, and made good progress. Yes, today I headed Protocol, but in tests it doesn't mean anything. We tested various components, but I also managed to find settings that already more than meet my preferences.
Of course, there is still a lot of work, but this is what we do on the tests. The car behaves quite confident, and we seem to have a clear idea of what to do next. Let's see what awaits us in Barcelona".
James Allison, technical Director: "After a very hard work-based teams, where winter was preparing machines, it's always nice to start the tests. Not only because the pressure becomes less, but because we finally get a chance to see the results of their work.
This is a very exciting period for all teams, but also quite nervous. I wish the car was fast, but we also understand that we are beset by numerous traps, because this is the first real test on the track of such a complex machine.
The tests went well. It seems, E21 competitive, and we were pleased with its basic reliability, although as always, still have to solve many problems. The work of sherry samarasena, but we are already thinking about a session in Barcelona, which starts in 10 days".
