The American hybrid car manufacturer, Fisker, is considering bids that could result in the manufacturer being controlled by another company. Production of its own car, the Karma, halted after its battery supplier went bust. New investment would help the company resume production and properly establish itself. Reputedly Chinese manufacturer, Dongfeng, has put forward an offer that would result in ownership of 85 per cent of Fisker. This would grant Dongfeng majority control.
