Embora fosse dito por seu pai que ele seria a corrida da GP2 Series este ano (veja a nossa edição de março de 2011), esperançoso de F1 americano Alexander Rossi anunciou que vai competir na Fórmula Renault 3. 5 série em 2011 com a equipe Fortec Motorsports. Rossi, um californiano que reside na Marina de Pietrasanta, Itália, está atualmente na Áustria como finalista para o FIA Young Driver excelência Academia Shootout.
