Official pictures of the first car from QorosFledgling Chinese car maker Qoros has released the first pictures of its new saloon, which will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March, along with a pair of concepts. The new car, a C-segment rival for the likes of the VW Jetta, has been designed under the direction of ex-Mini design boss Gert Hildebrand. A saloon, it has a long wheelbase and short overhangs, which Qoros says will become a feature of all of its cars. Hildebrand describes the look of the brand as desirable elegance. Qoros is keen to emphasise its European design and engineering credentials, and it has established a design studio in Munich. It also claims that the new saloon will become the first Chinese-built car to get a five star EuroNCAP rating. The saloon will go on sale in China at the end of next year, and it will arrive in Europe at the start of 2014. More models will be added to the range at six monthly intervals.
