Thread: New Porsche Cayman pictured

First image leaks out in French magazine; official reveal due at LA motor show on Wednesday eveningThis is reported to be the first picture of the new Porsche Cayman, which is scheduled to be unveiled at the Los Angeles motor show this evening.
The image, printed by a French magazine, appears to show the second-generation Cayman, which shares its lightweight aluminium body, roomier cabin and upgraded six-cylinder engines with its sister car, the Porsche Boxster.
The base Cayman engine will be a 2. 7-litre flat six, downsized from the 2. 9 in todays car. Its expected to produce about 280bhp, up from 262bhp in the 2. 9. The Cayman S will get a 3. 4-litre flat six with about 330bhp, up from 315bhp in todays car.
The new Cayman will be offered with a six-speed manual as standard and 
an optional seven-speed, 
dual-clutch auto gearbox.
Full technical details and official pictures are expected to be revealed around 8pm UK time tonight.
