A car can be a massive recall due to ignition of the engine compartment. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) of the United States announced the start of preliminary investigation into problems with the Mini Cooper S 2007-2008 model year. According to the authorities, the unknown malfunction causes a fire in the engine compartment. NHTSA has received 12 complaints already for such a problem. Eight owners of the Mini Cooper S state that the fire happened in the parking lot after the engine is switched off and the ignition key of the cube taken out, and in five cases, the cars having burned to the ground and are not subject to recovery. According to American authorities, an investigation can lead to a recall of approximately 36000 Mini Cooper S. However killed or injured because of the consequences of failure, fortunately, are missing.
