The group will create in China a joint venture with a local company. The group of companies Jaguar Land Rover, owned by India's Tata Motors, will increase its presence in the Chinese market through a joint venture with Chery Automobile Co. This is due to local legislation, which obliges to organize such type of enterprises during the construction of factories in the country. As reported by Reuters, in the present, the parties are negotiating and waiting for the approval of the PRC authorities, and then begin to create a business plan. However, management of both companies have not commented on this event. However, it is known that in case of signing of the agreement joint factory Jaguar Land Rover and Chery will produce about 40 thousand cars annually, which will be sold on the domestic market of the PRC. Earlier, Chery has already entered into negotiations with the Subaru, but the deal was blocked by the PRC government as Toyota, which owns Subaru, already owns two joint ventures in China. Recently about creating a separate sub-brand in China said Ford.
