Georgia became the first country in the world where drivers do not need to have any driver's license or registration certificate, it was stated by the head of the Ministry of interior Vano Merabishvili. This solution is designed to reduce bureaucracy and improve the lives of the citizens of the country and became part of reforms in the interior Ministry. In connection with the new regulations abolished and all fines, which operated previously for drivers without a license. Instead of checking driver's license patrol traffic police of Georgia will now have to check with the database drivers. Each patrol is equipped with an onboard computer with a constantly updated database, so the traffic police will not have problems with verifying the identity of the person behind the wheel. However, foreign citizens travelling to Georgia by car, this does not apply, they must have the whole set of documents. Previously for driving without a license in Georgia was levied a penalty of 15 lari ($9), according to ITAR-TASS.
