With the help of the i3 and i8 concepts, the Bavars showed what can be expected of future green BMW. The Bavars, as promised, have brought the firstborn of their newly created i3 and i8 concepts to the German car. Nothing new after "live" premiers, in principle, we didn' t know, but to show pictures from the salon and to tell about cars details are simply obliged. The BMW i8's length is 4632 mm, the width is 1955 mm and the height is 1280 mm. The length of the entire 3845mm compact is reinforced with fibre-reinforced plastic, resulting in a mass of 1250 kg. The five-door movement is 170-strong electric motor, and the thrust is sent to the rear wheels. The maximum speed limit is limited to 150 km/h and the maximum speed is less than 8 seconds. The modesty is a modest 160 \   km, but 80% of Lithium-ion batteries can be charged in just an hour. The full cycle will take five hours more. The Germans promise to put the "AI-III" pipe at the plant in Leipzig as early as 2013. And if his appearance does not undergo dramatic changes, it will be very brave: semi-transparent doors, laser diode headlamps, which consume twice as much energy as ordinary (truth, münhents say that the first such optics will get i8 in 2014) ... The interior! The original front panel, the lack of a central tunnel, a color display instead of a conventional dashboard, unusual chairs. I don't think it's going to go into a series, but the i3 should look very attractive. The sport-four-local hybrid i8 is also made with the use of carbon fiber, for which the concern even decided to build a special plant. The mass of the futuristic two-werk is 1480 kg. The axis is perfect (50:50). A 170 l electric motor is ahead. rear-petrol, three-cylinder DMF with a volume of 1.5 l, issuing 220 forces. The double-player is able to dial 100 km/h in less than 4.6 seconds. As far as the speed limit is exceeded, it does not exceed 250 km/h and the electronic "collar" is closed. At the same time, the purchase consumes, on average, 3 litres of fuel per 100 (per passport), and in the real mode-in the area 5-7 liters. The CO2 emissions on paper are 66 g/km. Also, we recall that there was a gavel and about the possible appearance of other members of the i-family, but the BMW has not officially confirmed this information yet.
