LADA Priora, Renault Sandero, Volkswagen Polo: the hunt for Frost
This test is a continuation of the "60 hours "Behind the wheel", only less extreme.
Volkswagen Polo, Lada Priora, Renault Sandero The Goodie, the slush and the never-ending glass end close to Vologda, together with the extreme cold. In the morning, the thermometer Volkswagen Polo showed 28 ºC. "Lada-Priora" (the estate supplement just added to the editorial park) reported minus thirty. Well, the Reno-Sander didn' t have a built-in thermometer, kept his cool. In addition, the electronic household thermometer left on his front panel for control of the night froze to death. Cars, yes, and we, were not ready for an unexpectedly crash of the climate test (the forecast did not promise freezing): dirty bodies, bags in the salons, sunken measuring equipment. And after the first sleepover there were cars in different way. The journey to the borders of the three sweetened winter cold regions of the Vologda and Arkhangelsk regions and the Komi Republic has been very successful, not only in the low temperaturesDuring the stretch between the Darkness and the Great Ustyug, we abandoned the services of the navigators. The instruments were confused in very approximate maps, clearly designed for an ambulance. They do not know that the former forested tracks, which are barely outlined on the flowcharts, have already been turned into good highways. It is much more free and smooth than the routable route through the Kspicy and Nikolsk. Not only were the cars thoroughly frozen, but they were also cleaned up, rejoice or a bit of discomfort. On the way out of Moscow, only the talk was about the inconvenient landing of the driver and too sluggishly the new motors of the new, the Priors. UP TO MINUS THIRTIETH morning. Start "Priors." First at -28ºC, it did not open doorsThe central lock has executed the team flawlessly, and several times in a row, because the convex buttons on the Priors of the Priors worked not only from touch, but seemed to be from one judgy view of this non-different construction. It turned out that the limiters of all the doors had been frozen, or rather, what they had been greasing. The Ostrovov came up with a version on special preparation of the car for the Arab Emirates. Then "Prior", fifteen-twenty seconds, sneeating, not wishing to survive. Since the second attempt, the machine began to throw away the sulfur-black smoke. "A fine beginning," without thinking of the consequences, said one of us. And he was right: only when the temperature rose to -26 ºC, "Prior" finally started quickly and without problems. But all the rest of the time at -28. 29 ºC we observed approximately the same kart every morningFirst the rocking of the doors, then the emotional comments to the address of the unintelligable log, and then the long buzzing of the starter. The engine did not generally survive on the first attempt, usually on the second, and sometimes on the third. A couple of Russian foreign companies were looking at the cold, with obvious disdain: despotic, not that degree, the heat of the glass-and the way forward. After the first night on the freezer, the Sandero quickly pulled off the frozen engine and turned the engine off briskly. Then he never once changed his way of launching. Carefully, under the hood, "Polo" is very fragile in the cold. The mechanic just tried to get close to the battery cell. Polo chose several other tactics: in Moscow he suddenly became cranky, with a clear unwillingly in reaction to the start of the starter. The battery check for leaks has not revealed anything. Therefore, before the mileage, premattered oil (5W30), checked the spark plugs and ... At the first low temperature of the cold, he began to barely pull out the wire and wanted to "smoke" from his neighbors. But after a few seconds, the Volkswagen swung around and made steady progress. The situation was repeated almost every time the thermometer was -28ºC. There was even a moment when the car did not start with the first attempt (10 to 15 seconds of slow rotation of the starter), but immediately caught the second. In short, the reliability and convenience of the "Sandero" launch is the best, "Polo" is stable, but with caprices, and "Lada-Priora" is unpredictable. DULET, BLOWING A BREEZE ... It seems that for the cars of this class the slight coolness in the head and heat in the legs is almost impossible, at least in the complex. Separations are possible, sometimes even with a surplus"Reno-Sander" is the most progressive part of the passenger compartment (see annex 1). (...) (...) However, the requirements for the heating and ventilation system, more precisely, to the distribution of air flows, are noticing appreciably. The main thing here is not to fire, but to mix the flows in order to ensure the proper comfort of all parts of the body. Alas, however steep the hilt in the direction of the stream, in the frosty weather begins to delay the side and windscreens (the position "all in the foot"). Transfering the handle to the position of the "bare feet" is now the excess of heat in the ceiling, in the head of the occupiom. To live with that, of course, may be possible, but it is exhausting in the long road. Polo is more fortunate in this sense, though the dynamics of the saloon are far slower. But the "phonet" senses the excess heat at the top. True, by playing the distribution of streams and temperature, it is possible to find a more or less acceptable microclimateIn spite of the small adrims, we agree that Volkswagen is the most appropriate in this sense. In the "Prioré" with its mighty stove, homegrown, but still "climate" (there is even a mode of "auto" that does not affect the position of the airlock), when it is better not to take off the upper clothes below minus thirty. In the saloon, as if in a snow-covered hut, the draughts of the draughts of the sealers whistled. It is so that the driver on his left shoulder (and the passenger on the right) was throwing warm clothes. What is the correct landing, driver's seat, safety when, sitting behind the wheel, all the time is pressed to the left leg: it is literally starkly frozen by a froze flowing through the slits into the salon. In the meantime, the right shoe is ready to crack from the heat (the stove is working), and in the central tunnel it is time to make tea without a caulator. The water bottle, which was laid in the glove, turned into a monolith after an hour and a half of the roadShame! It's not a match to the competition. Staying for a few minutes, and watching the glass melt away, you immediately realize how much heat comes out through the numerous slits! WHERE ARE YOU, IDEAL? Volkswagen Polo, Lada Priora, Renault Sandero Wide Wide, Good Quality, well-cleaned northern roads, which only occasionally cause wrinkled areas. You have to slow things down, step by side, and you have to do it. And then, again, free long overruns, where the average speed of the convoy is easily approaching 100. The places are crazy beauty. Trees and sparse cities in the frosty marvels look just fabulous settlements, especially at sunset. How does our cars look at this background? Volkswagen Polo. The more prosperous cities (say, Kotas or Koryajma), the more these are still rare in Moscow. They are a standard of living as a barometer of stability. Not for nothing.. Nice landing, comfortable setting and ergonomics, seat of the room. Polo doesn't get tired of it. However, it is necessary to get used to some individual features, such as the nose-going door to the doorway to the doorway, unregulated light of the devices, the plain button to zero the route of the block computer. And in general, everything is very pretty, and the main thing is thinking about it. Polo. That's how the windscreen goes. Of course, the star engine of the stars is missing. At low speed (1200-1500rpm), it is time to carry out a very sharp border between "going" and "not going." But it is convenient and economical on the road. This ideology reflects most of the properties of the car: acoustic comfort, controllability, brakes and operation. The settings are good, but they're not perfect. The signs are good at humps, with which Polo is almost perfect. But we should be faced with waves of waves, as there are noticeable swings of the body. Well, when the real obstacle of the Russian glare begins, you know: "Polo" is not a fighter here. Unhigh energy intensity, small moves of suspension make the machine quite vulnerable at serious roughness, is made to slow down sharply. On the bad roads, it's too early for the BS. You try to slow down before the bumps, and the antilock is already running, rescining the wheels, and making it impossible to control the slowdown. Renault-Sander. This is inferior to "Polo", first of all as sensations. It is not a bad thing, but the driver's seat is too easy to be adjusted to an overtly adjusted height, the Spartan environment, hidden from the eyes of the arm-chair heating, especially in bright light, appliances, less intelligable control of the gearbox. The clutch shall be snatch at the very end of the pedal, and together with a little contemplative accelerator, it turns the process of Trogany into an event which must be prepared in advance. "Sandero." That's how the windscreen goes. The motor is also dried up on the bottom, but on average and high turnover it is definitely more fun of the Volkswagen. The brakes are good on any surface. And the underweight of Sandero is a real role model. Rigid and elastic in trifles (where "Polo" wins), they are pleasantly surprised by the security at the most insidious roughness. Where the "Volkswagen" in the limiters drop the move, "Sandero", like a elastic ball, flushes over the pits and the punctilians. High-class! "La da Priora". It is sometimes useful to return to the open spaces of the domestic automotive industry. He's changing, too. How's that? If you take a rain sensor that appears on the Prior, or automatically turn on the lights of the headlights, let alone "climate", it's just pride taking on the native industry! Eh, here would be the promised GLONASS system-and in this price segment we will be definitely out of competition! "Prior." That's how the windscreen goes. Then, broken leg and grip, you start painfully at the front seat, whose longitudinal displacement range is about half the size of the competition. Here comes the first question: why? Maybe sometimes we should forget about high technologies and a small fraction of the glamour of billions to spend on a cheap but comfortable chair, or, say, an ergonomics of the interior that is still not fit for small things and bottled water? You can also use reliable sealers and noise insulation. The disadvantages are all the more offensive, that there is a good engine (nothing worse than rivals), decent brakes, and too rigid, but capable of resisting the most serious obstacles to suspension. It's not even very clear, it's a three, but still controllability. But the main-the ability of the car to compete in general, alas, is not. HEART OR HEART? How hard can it be to make a choice ... If it is used to complete the expert evaluation protocol, the leader's choice will be unambiguous. Most of the drivers who took part in the mileage were unanimous: the best was Volkswagen Polo. It's more convenient and comfortable in the long way. And even the shortcomings that we face are not changing. But most of the prize-winning criteria (except for fuel efficiency) were the leading "Renault-Sander". It makes it easier, and the cabin is warming up faster, not to mention the perfect light of the headlights, and which is better suited to our conditions of suspension. There is also a factor in the dispute, such as the price that clearly separates the potential consumers of Sander and Polo. Renault Sandero, Lada Priora, Volkswagen Polo, as regards the third participant, his last place is no reason to be offended (not by any domestic). I just really want the Lada-Prior to finally become a real car. She's far away. Rather, you are convinced of the opposite, of grownup grownup: "You've been able to do this before." PROGRESS BEFORE 30 MINUTs. The methodology has not changed since last year's measurements. Before the start of the experiment, the air temperature is set to the maximum, the flow distribution to the head/legs and the fan to the middle position (usually the second). The thermometer is placed in the legs and head of the driver and the right rear passenger. The "Pryoré" option has been abandoned: it does not control the overhead of the air, but only changes the speed of the heater fan, which is clearly large at the beginning of the measurements. Simply put, the salon in this regime is more likely than warming up. Renault-Sander. Despite some claims to the not very successful difference in the temperatures above and below, "Sandero" is warming up quickly and well. "Lada-Priora." Not everything is smooth, but the stove is good. It's a pity, with the distribution of the streams of malade and the springs in the back of the body. Volkswagen Polo. The engine is warming up very slowly, hence the problems with the heating of the passenger compartment. It's better to warm up the car, but how do you do it at minus thirty overboard? LADA PRIORA +. Inconvenient quality of sealing and noise insulation, inconvenient for long travel, insufficient longitudinal adjustment of driving seat adjustment, stiffness of suspension, mediocal climate, passing beam headlamps. RENAULT SANDERO + Radiant, is convenient for passengers, balanced driving possibilities, excellent launch and light of headlamps, fast warm-up adapted to our roads of suspension. -A small baggage compartment, mediocrate ergonomics, rough on small roughness, flooring, is not optimal in the distribution of air flows. VOLKSWAGEN POLO + Good ergonomics, convenient for the driver and passengers, balanced driving qualities, the boot trunk, good system of heating and ventilation, comfortable on small roughness. -The work of the AVS on the uneven road, the pumping of the body at high speed, limited possibilities of suspension on bad roads, weak light of headlights, slow progress on the ground. Breakdown/Expense: "Volkswagen-Polo": 2196 km/ 7, 65 L/100km "Lade-Prior": 2,294 km/7, 72 l/100 km. "Reno-Sander": 2201 km/ 8, 3 l/100 km. Volkswagen Polo. Mideast: The contrast with the rest is so large that major improvements are being sought. "Lada-Priora." The Middle Light: The man in the first photo disappeared, although his position, like the position of the car, had not changed in comparison with "Reno". Renault-Sander. The Middle World is a role model. Volkswagen Polo. Driving beam. In the dark, the driver, Polo, was blind. It only makes a very good driving beam. The Dalniy is a good complement to others. Polo.
