Grosjean: With rubber other problems than in 2012

On Thursday, Roman Grosjean conducted a simulation of the race, after a day 119 laps, and looked tired in the evening, but I was talking to journalists with the same smile. . .
Roman Grosjean: "I Must say that it was extremely difficult. Tires very quickly wore out, I struggled to get them to travel as much distance, talked a lot with the team on the radio - they watched the telemetry and together we tried to find a solution.
For the first stint - with full tanks - I'm already on the second lap said the engineer on the radio: "rubber died", but I had to drive 66 laps. I did my best, tried to adjust driving style, but I repeat - it was very difficult.
Cool weather doesn't help the work, moreover, in the course of the season we are waiting for other conditions. Because of the low temperature buses operate inefficiently, but the situation is very different than last year. In 2012, there were problems associated with the wear of the rear tires, and now with granulation and front and rear rubber. It's hard to explain. The question is how to preserve the layer of rubber on the wheel, how to effectively use the bus, not going beyond the limits when driving.
If we talk about the machine, there is an obvious change for the better. When last year we tested the exhaust system with the Coanda effect, to operate the machine was much harder than its previous version, but the E21 has developed including a new exhaust system, downforce in high speed cornering increased and the car behaves much better."
