Car sales in Russia in January 2013 onwards increased by 5%

Sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia in January 2013 increased compared with the same period last year by 5% to 162 077 PCs. This is stated in the message of the Association of European businesses (AEB).
Last year, the Russian automotive market has set a sales record of what has been achieved with strong market growth in the first half and the subsequent slowdown, down to the stagnation in the second half. Therefore, the 5% growth recorded in January 2013 compared to the corresponding period last year - a very good signal, given in the message words of the Chairman of the AEB automobile manufacturers Committee Joerg Schreiber.


In AEB note that in the whole industry buyer activity increases due to the current attractive purchase conditions and reduce the standby time of a wide range of models. "The spring season sales just beginning, and in February and March, we will be able to see in which direction the market is heading in 2013. So far everything looks very good," he added. Schreiber.
According to the AEB is ranked JSC AVTOVAZ: sales of Lada cars in January 2013 amounted to 30 037 units (an increase of 3% compared to the same period in 2012). On second place came the cars Renault - 14 741 (an increase of 35%), in third place in January 2013 is Hyundai - 11 306 thousand (+11%). The fourth is Kia - 11 059 (sold only 50 cars and more). Five complete cars Volkswagen - 9 968 (+7%).
The first place among the most sold in Russia models of cars Lada Granta is - 10 589 machines (an increase of 5 times). In second place Hyundai Solyaris - 7 353 machines (+3%). Third place in sales in the past month - Lada Kalina - 6 016 (-29%). The fourth was the Renault Duster - 5 374 (sales started in March 2012 ).
