Lewis Hamilton: F1 estrella i cotxe viatjant

Mai subestimes el poder d'aprovació de celebritat de canvi de metall, especialment quan té aquell celeb qualitiesSquint estrella genuí. I llavors reüll una mica més difícil. Ho sento, però la meva càmera només tenia un cinc vegades facilitat de zoom. Mira amb cura per l'individu en una granota blanc/plata però, i vostè farà gairebé fora la seva Lewis Hamilton.
No, no em vaig reunir els paparazzi. De fet, jo estava en Mercedes-Benz Món a Weybridge un dissabte plujós a veure el meu home vell celebrar un aniversari que acaba amb un significatiu zero conduint un AMG C63 durant una hora. Si me n'anava massa detalls que i vols ser acusat de donar Merc anuncis gratuïtament deus; és suficient per dir que era el millor diners que he passat mai. La qualitat del lloc, monitors i cotxes bufaria qualsevol distància, i molt menys un home acostumat a la conducció d'un Skoda Octavia.
De tota manera, tornar a aquelles fotografies. Divertit jo, perquè com molta gent I he acusat Lewis a convertir-se en una mica d'una prima donna en els darrers anys. De vegades, ha estat més sobre les patilles ximples i brillant orella-anells de resultats. Encara aquí va ser, en vigílies de la F1 proves inaugurant aquesta setmana, esquivant la pluja com Mercedes rodar un anunci per un dels seus cotxes.
Com vostè pot dir, no tinc molt a prop. Però això destacar un costat per la feina de ser un pilot de Fórmula 1 que rarament arribem a veure. No vaig a demanar-li que sento per multi-milionaris que arribar a la carrera de cotxes modificats millor del món per viure, però com Lewis marxaren cap enrere i endavant d'una espera GL a la part posterior del camió, aparentment fent la mateixa cosa i altra vegada, em sentir certa simpatia per ell; un dia humit a Surrey portaria ningú a la terra.
Encara més fascinant és el fet que la gent clarament va començar a fer exercici Lewis era allà. Mentre això lleugerament vexava seguretat, també va evidenciar el valor d'un heroi a una marca esportiva. Abans, jo mai hagués cregut que la gent anava a comprar un cotxe de la part posterior de l'aprovació d'una altra persona. Encara com la gent es va situar al costat de les línies de pre-propietat Mercs i entretancats en la distància, d'emoció era tan palpable que vaig pensar que algunes anaven a comprar un cotxe en el lloc, només per ser una mica més com el seu heroi.
Suposo que eren ja una audiència captiva, havent fet l'esforç per visitar un lloc anomenat món Mercedes-Benz, però jo encara estava desconcertat. Senyor sap què passarà si aquesta temporada va planificar i ell realment les piles fins alguns guanya - basat en aquesta evidència, ja sento Merc distribuïdors fregaven les mans amb alegria.
Així, alguns finals preguntes, un inspirat en aquesta oportunitat es troben, un perquè ens estem en vigílies de la F1 proves està duent a terme: creus que el vell adagi: "Guanyant el diumenge, Venda dilluns" encara anells de cert, i creus Lewis té les qualitats estrelles necessaris per aconseguir la feina feta?

No, I haven't joined the paparazzi. In fact, I was at Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge on a rainy Saturday to watch my old man celebrate a birthday ending with a significant zero driving a C63 AMG for an hour. If I went in to too much detail I'd be accused of giving Merc a free advert; suffice to say it was the best money I've ever spent. The quality of the venue, instructors and cars would blow anyone away, let alone a man used to driving a Skoda Octavia.
Anyway, back to those pictures. It amused me, because like many people I've accused Lewis of turning into a bit of a prima donna in recent years. At times, he's been more about the silly sideburns and sparkly ear-rings than results. Yet here he was, on the eve of F1 testing kicking off this week, dodging the rain as Mercedes filmed an advert for one of its cars.
As you can tell, I didn't get very close. But it did highlight a side to the job of being a Formula 1 driver that we rarely get to see. I'm not about to ask you to feel sorry for multi-millionaires who get to race the world's best-engineered cars for a living, but as Lewis trekked back and forth from a waiting GL to the back of the truck, seemingly doing the same thing time and again, I did feel some sympathy for him; a wet day in Surrey would bring anyone down to earth.
Even more fascinating was the fact that people clearly started to work out Lewis was there. While this mildly vexed security, it also demonstrated the value of a sporting hero to a brand. Before then, I would never have believed that people would buy a car off the back of someone else's endorsement. Yet as people stood next to the lines of pre-owned Mercs and squinted in to the distance, their excitement was so palpable that I thought some were going to buy a car on the spot, just to be that little bit more like their hero.
I suppose they were a captive audience already, having made the effort to visit a place called Mercedes-Benz World, but I was still taken aback. Lord knows what will happen if this season goes to plan and he actually stacks up some wins - based on this evidence, I can already feel Merc dealers rubbing their hands with glee.
So, some final questions, one inspired by this chance encounter, one because we're on the eve of F1 testing getting underway: do you think the old adage: 'Winning on Sunday, selling on Monday' still rings true, and do you think Lewis has the star qualities required to get the job done?
