Chairman of the organizing committee of the Can-Am Trophy Russia Andrey Krasilvov stressed that the main outcome of the series is the achieved scale of the competition. The number of athletes increased with each stage and the 2011 season-2011 season participants of Can-Am Trophy Russia became 116 quadryclists from 16 cities. In the run-up to 2012, the organisers told Can-Am Trophy Russia in the new season. The series will traditionally consist of three stages, but the geography of the competition will expand. The first stage of the series will take place in Perm Krai on 18-20 May, the next stage will be held in a completely new place for the organizers and participants of the region-Stavropol (27-29 July). The good news for the championship of Russia: if before, they have performed in stages of the series not set-off, then this restriction is removed in the classes of prepared quadricycles (open): tittered athletes will also be able to fight for the main prizes of the quadrracquad. " The level of participant preparation in the open categories is so high that the time has come to lift the limit. They are quite able to compete with the Russian champions on an equal basis, " the organizers said. The changes did not affect the even categories. They will remain the same as in the 2011 season: ATV-open (specially prepared quadrycles), SSV-open (prepared Motors side-by-side), ATV-original (standard quadrycles), SSV-original and SSV-women (female crews on the side-by side). And the main thing, the 2012 series remains open! As you know, today several ATV equipment distributors hold their own closed competitions, in which only the owners of a certain brand of quadricycles can perform. Can-Am Trophy Russia is a national competition in which any athlete can take part without any restrictions. The winners of the 2011 series have come to a press conference. Already at the first GC, we didn' t have a gearbox, the car was only moving in reverse. So we managed to take a few more points, and then it was decided to finish the competition. At this point, the rear suddenly includes a higher gear and we go to the start of the second GC. Once again, after passing several points, the extra one is turned off, and a few kilometres further away, the box has commanded a long life! And here we are twenty kilometers away from the camp, depressed, but unbroken, waiting for evacuation, while conducting 4-hour sensitization training with the local population about the possibilities of brp. It made us feel confident that we will soon get to the base of the nearest populace. That's where the fun started. It was an agonizing hour of waiting-not a single living soul except those passing through the quadricycles. And a miracle! "Gazelle" appears on the horizon. The driver, who stopped, was deeply saddened that there was no road from our stay to the base camp near the village of Ivanurs, only in a detour through Penzu. This was the first and the biggest ambush. Some reason, by persuaing the driver to take me, dirty and sensitive, to Penza, I left the navigator on the road with the broken equipment. 120 kms on Gazelle to the track where I went to the truck, then the road back. Thank God, Alexey, in order not to freeze in the forest, went on for good luck, and he came in full darkness to the working mill, where the good people, first frightened by the dirty man in the helmet, had come up and took off the freezing arm near the stove, and also filled with his life-hot coffee. Already deep in the night I came to this sawmill, and on the winch they loaded a motor-truck, and went back.
