There are plenty of ways to win a brand new car, but having a 20-ton tractor trailer land on your old one is probably the toughest way to go about it. Thats what happened to Marc Keinath of Millington, Michigan, when he lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Malibu and was hit by an 18-wheeler. The truck initially struck the back of the car, and then landed on top of it. Incredibly, Keinath managed to recline his seat as the weight of the truck bore down on the car. He then dialed 911 from his cell phone. Keinath walked away from the crash with no serious injuries, though the same couldnt be said for his now flattened car. Chevrolet decided this loyal – and incredibly lucky – customer was in need of a new ride. In a ceremony at GMs engine plant in Flint, Michigan, Chevrolet Malibu Marketing Director Jon Hahn handed Keinath the keys to a new 2011 Malibu. To help avoid further messy encounters with semi trucks, the new Malibu has six air bags, electronic stability control system, four-wheel antilock brakes…and a seat that fully reclines.
