The Belneftekhim concern, exclusively determines the price at all gas stations in the country, has approved new and retail selling prices for petroleum products in the country. This is the ninth increase in prices for motor fuel this year. Retail prices for gasoline sold at filling stations has increased on average by 3%, on diesel fuel by 5%. Concern motivates higher prices because oil refineries of the Republic to acquire foreign currency for the purchase of crude oil at the additional trading session of the Belarusian currency and stock exchange at the market rate. Since the beginning of 2011 fuel prices in Belarus increased for the ninth time. The recent increase in retail gasoline prices was 1 October, then they rose, on average, 5%, and "Belneftekhim" explained the revision of prices for petroleum products "gradual adjustment of prices of goods in the countries of the Customs Union".
