WTCC in China: Müller, Chevrolet is getting closer to the title
During the next stage of the world championship on driving cars the pilots of the Chevrolet team continued the fight for the title. The Frenchman, Ivan Mueller, the current champion and leader of the championship, won one of the races and strengthened his leadership. The Englishman Robert Haff, on the contrary, has made mistakes and literally gave his opponent some important points ... The skill of not being lost in adverse circumstances is simply necessary for someone who hopes to become a champion. Ivan Müller brilliantly demonstrated this quality by earning the right points even after failing to qualify the Chinese phase of the WTCC Championship took place on the little known route of Shanghai-Tianma in the western suburbs of China's metropolis. The absolute majority of racers saw this track for the first time, but there were no special changes to the usual forces: the pilots of the dominant Chevrolet team won all the key stages of the stage. The Swiss Alain Menus won in the qualification and first race, the current world champion, Frenchman Ivan Müller, was the first to see the checkered flag at the finish of the second race. The best of the pilots, who spoke on the BMW, was the Englishman of the Collen Terkington: in one race he finished second, overtaking Robert Haffa's champion title, and the aerobatic maneuver allowed Müller to increase from 13 to 20 points from his teammate, Robert Huff, with whom the Frenchman was fighting for the title. Haffe, at the start of both races, was standing on several positions above Mueller, but during both 25-round trips only lost ground-while Müller was only playing them out. Robert Haffe can smile as much as he likes, but he will need more focus and confidence to win the championship, the most telling was the development of events in the debut of the second race. Robert Huff, who started the race, lost the start to Italians, Gabrielle Tarquwini (Sat Leon), in an attempt to regain control of the car-and cut off part of the road through the gravel security zone, broke into the group of leaders, making it a run-of-the-y fuss. Müller was better off than others in this situation, got out of the fourth place for the second, and then a couple of circles confidently passed Tarkwini-and was so (in the middle of the race his advantage over the closest pursuers was 20 seconds). Haffe, getting out of the gravel, was once again stuck behind Tarquin, and the "trailer" drove the Italian to the finish line ... The only half-finished Volvo C30, led by Robert Dalgren, finished twice at the ninth place in Moskvich Aleksey Dudukalo, a speaker on Seat Leon for the team Lukoil-Sunred team, was unable to replenish the points account: the best result for the weekend was the eleventh place in the first race. The next-and the last one this year-is to be held at the legendary city track in Macau. The two races, which will decide the fate of the title in their personal credit, will be held in exactly two weeks-November 20. With four points on his account, Alexei Dugal has the twenty first place in the personal credit of the WTCC
