Italian tire holding Pirelli in partnership with the state Corporation "Rostechnologii" buys two plants that were included in the bankrupt holding company Amtel. In their capacity Italians in 2012 expect to produce 8.5 million tires and $ 300 million euros. In July of this year, "Russian technologies", Pirelli and "SIBUR" (manages factories bankrupt Amtel) signed an agreement under which the Russian state Corporation and Italian companies formed the joint venture on a parity basis, was required to move the Kirov tire plant (KSP). And yesterday SIBUR announced that the assets of the Voronezh tire plant (VSS) will also be transferred to the JV. According to RBC daily, for both plant "Russian technologies" and Pirelli will pay to "SIBUR" 222 million euros. For its part, Pirelli said that in each of purchased plants are planned jointly with Russian technologies to invest in 2012-2014 100 million euros. As expected, power VSS for three years will be doubled to 4 million units per year, and by 2015 the company will produce tires exclusively under the brand Pirelli. The performance of the Kirov plant will remain at the current level of 6.5 million tires, but 60% of them in 2015 will be releasing a brand Pirelli. But Continental decided to go to Russia on a different path - the company builds its own tire plant near Kaluga.
