The state Duma intends to consider to limit the issuance of road rights of people older than 65 years. Now law in force for ten years, older people can give only five years because of their health and the reaction rate deteriorate faster than the young. This was stated by the head of the Committee on transport Sergey Shishkarev. "On the roads is quite a lot of accidents involving the elderly. In my opinion, to give them the right to 5 years would be reasonable," says the official. He also noted that driver's licence will meet international standards and can be used on the territory of States parties to the Vienna Convention of 1968 on road traffic. Today the state Duma adopted in the first reading of the bill, which introduces new categories and subcategories of vehicles.
