The "Transit" is only 0.6 seconds after the clutch pedal is pressed. And I didn' t personally see that such environmental "swoop" would have any effect on the machine. In addition, even with the engine off, the ventilation system of the salon and the magnet continue to work. According to Ford engineers, start-stop in Europe saves up to 4% of fuel. However, we are unlikely to find out how much "solliars" such a system can save in Moscow's traffic jams in the near future: it will not be on the Russian Fords yet. But it does not make sense to be particularly sad about it: even if it were available to us, it is not a free option. At the same time, the new system of battery power, which, to reduce the load on the engine, turns off the generator at the battery level of more than 80%, is part of the standard version of most versions-including for Russia. Yes, and the only one possible for "Transit" of 2,2-liter diesel in any of its options (100, 125, 140 or 155 forces) is very serious in terms of cost-effectiveness. The engineers increased the fuel injection pressure from 1600 to 1800 bar, installed the turbine with variable geometry of the spatula, the oil pump of the performance variable, and special low-voltage candles were introduced for the rapid heating of air during the cold start. And if the weakest motor of the same volume has developed the capacity of 85 l. and torque 250 N m, the receiver is already 100 l.s. and 310 N. m, respectively. This is a pretty big raise! However, bearing in mind how clever the environmentalists managed to devalue "horses" and "Newton metres", having obtained the keys of a 100-strong van, I was a little worried that I would become a German retarder. And the truth is, " Oh, please! He doesn't even want to touch it, " I thought, turning the key in the ignition of the broken van for the third time in a row. In particular, the engineers installed the engine on the improved hydropower support and covered it with a new cover with improved soundproofing properties. In addition, the intake manifold form has been modified to reduce the noise level from the intake air. Fifteen "horses" in the gift of truth, paying great attention to solving technical issues, the designers have not changed anything in the cockpit. I do not say that the driver of "Transit" requires an emergency upgrade: the ergonomics are all in order, the boxes and niches for documents and various kinds of articles are presented in a wide range. I would even throw a coaster out of this house on the right flank of the front panel: the bottle it approved completely closes the mirror. But for the owners of "Transit", it is necessary to believe that the price of the car and the cost of its maintenance is more important than some coasters.
