The system of automatic fixing of violations in Moscow is still working in a test mode, and in a few days it will start working for real. Drivers will receive letters of happiness for speeding and leaving the lane for public transport. The traffic will be monitored by 55 cameras, and by the end of the year the number of cameras will triple. And for three years in Moscow, 800 modern complexes of automatic photo and video recording of violations of the rules will be installed in Moscow. The majority of the cameras will control the selected lanes, while the rest are installed on the airways and the third transport ring. The cameras cover four lanes and are capable of identifying the violator at a distance of 500 metres. At night, they work with photo-dust. In the Road Traffic Centre, the city authorities will establish warning signs that the cameras are approaching. The exact location of the cameras should be posted on the website of the traffic police. After committing the violation, the decision on the administrative offense is sent to the owner-offender by mail by registered mail. The driver must pay the fine within a month. If this is not the case, GIDBA has the right to make a case for non-payment of a fine.
