As has become a tradition for many years, Harley-Davidson's presentation of the new line gave reason to complain on the topic "Again facelift!"
Yes, radical change has not happened, and spectacular solutions, too (last Willy Jie likes to be shown in February). But without the expected "half-water" Electra Glide, the "reverse trawk" and "sports sterstle", the adherents (not to be confused with idle fans and even more liters) of "Harley" are interested. The only new model (or all the same) was a "tourist" Dyna Switchback. Contrary to the "big" Baggers (and despite the current fashion on them!) the "Dune" version has been implemented very conservatively (not counting, perhaps, the five-inch "lithium" about 18 inches in front and 17 in the rear). The platforms instead of the feet, the deep forward wing, the "slip" shock absorbers and plugs, characteristic fra and glass are the Electra Glide 60 image in all its beauty. By the way, these frets and glass have long been offered as options for "Dune" and "Shrubster", which allows the machine to be classified as a dresser (this term, if you remember, used to refer to "wrapped" Hydra/Duo/Electra Glide). A born classic, at a relatively modest price (in the United States of $15,999-is more expensive than any other "Dune", but much cheaper than any "Soft")-a future bestseller, don't you think?Technological innovations are, and are not. No-because the engine has been increased from 1584 to 1690 cm³ ("pox"-from 96 to 103 cubic inches) of volume is already put on "electricties" Yes-because now it is placed almost on the whole "big-tout" gamma, except for "budget" versions of Dyna (Street Bob and Super Glide Custom). By increasing the diameter of the cylinders from 95.3 to 98, 4 mm, the Americans promise gains from 125 to 134 Nm with the same 3500 rpm and an increase of 6 per cent (characteristic that the absolute values of the "face" are still not disclosed). No less important innovations are a full-time "electricticator", as well as an ABS as a standard or an option already for all "big-twines" including Dyna. Another Bugger has added "special" models to the line. CVO Road Glide Custom, as it follows from the name, became a product of "factory tuning" not supplied to us by Road Glide Custom. Like the other CVOs, the novelty is different from the "base" 110-inch (1800-cc if "we think") a motor and a lot of trouble, including a 19-inch front wheel and it is said to be a very decent "music." All over the world (including in Russia) it is planned to sell no more than 2,100 copies, which is quite a lot, given that the manual assembly and the "naggots" raised the price of the already expensive model by one and a half times (in the US-from $19,694 to $30,699). Road Glide to Europe and to us is still available only in the "turkey" CVOr version. Changing the color scheme is also an important part of Harley's updates. This time, it changed radically. Farewell, Acid and Creativ! The bright lemon yellow and orange ones were replaced by dark blue and cherry-and this is not traditional for H-D black and silver. Great Depression? Or is it still an attempt to "fence" the look? However, bright color decisions remain. For some models, namely Muscle Rod, Forte Eight and, oddly enough, Fat Bob. Disenchanted with attempts to rejuvenate the audience? Or are they clearing the clearing under a new "creative" model? The Gamma Sportster hasn't changed. Only a new colouring, and XL883 R and XR1200 X have not been received. The 10th anniversary of the VP-Rod has been marked by a slight upgrade of the Night Rod. The last one received the Muscle Rod overworked at the expense of the new rudder and the ergonomics handlebars, and from the external changes-the five-point wheels and the new "chevorie". You like "innovation," but you don't like the dark colors? Please, a similar but radiant polished aluminium and exclusively silver V-Rod 10th Anniversary Edition. Will the plastic surgery of a rapidly aging model? The updated V-Rod has become a brute, but an eclectic predecessor. Now, unification with the Muscle is an obvious advantage!
