Fiat plans to move some production to the U.S.
The Italian concern may shift production cars Jeep and Alfa Romeo in the United States. Fiat plans to move some production of its cars in North America. As reported by Bloomberg, the Italian manufacturer is going to build the Jeep SUVs and sports cars Alfa Romeo in the United States, and the plant in Turin to release a new compact city car. The reason for such decision could serve as the growth rate of the Euro, which in turn increases the cost of production of Jeep vehicles designed primarily for the United States. As for Alfa Romeo, the cost reduction would help the brand to successfully compete in the U.S. market after years of absence. However, the decision to move production has not yet been made, and the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera generally denies Bloomberg, claiming that the production of Fiat will remain unchanged. Recall that in November 2010 Fiat has announced that it plans to invest 1 trillion euros in the production of 280,000 cars brands Jeep and Alfa Romeo factory in Turin.
