Moscow will attach the territory to 160 thousand hectares
After thorough calculations, the area of the territories connected to the capital has been decided to increase from 144,000 to 160,000 hectares, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said. Now, Moscow will include the town of Shcherbinka and the settlement of Rogovskyi. Jointed territories will unite in the new administrative district, and the capital will granite for the first time with Kaluga region. The Russian government will consist of 22 entities, including 15 major entities. "In the first stage, I think a separate administrative district will be created-with the largest territory, but with the lowest density," the mayor said. The increase in the territory will be primarily due to the "partner", which will grow about twice. The area is approximately 10 km deep and is considered to be the most promising area for development. According to the mayor, the accession and construction of these lands will not worsen the ecological situation in the Moscow region, it will not seriously strain the budget of Moscow and will not attract a new flow of migrants to the capital. It is also promised to retain all the benefits for the dachkles, and there are no plans to seize the distant sites under the new construction. The city should become not monocentric, but polycentric, which means there will be five or six self-contained urban centers. In the course of the projects, the opinion of the local residents and experts will be taken into account, for which the public hearings will be held, although this is not the procedure. The development of the territories annexed to the capital will be carried out gradually and will take at least 10-20 years. The questions remain, the more so that life is rapidly changing and may well be short of time later. It is unclear who will be working on the "new Moscow", probably in the near future the next department or ministry, which is water, will require its state and budget. The fact that the enlargement will require a lot of money is understandable for a long time. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev speaks at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in June.
