The Ministry of transport decided to establish a special award for taxi drivers. Award "For trouble-free riding" will be a great way to enhance the prestige of the profession of taxi driver. According to Deputy transport Minister Nikolay Asaul, such award will be awarded to drivers of buses and trolleybuses. "In the near future, the same reward will be developed and taxi drivers," said the official. "Taxi drivers - responsible, organized people, - said Nikolay Asaul. They help transport provision in the city, especially in large Metropolitan areas. This area and this category of people need the government's attention." Taxi drivers are going to hold a protest against a new law regulating their activities. The protest is scheduled for August 9. Accreditation of taxi drivers began on 15 July.
