Announced in last year's system delivery of Internet shopping Volvo, fully automatiseret process for the buyer, has become more than real – the Swedes launched a delivery system directly to the vehicle without the direct involvement of the client.
All this is done with the help of logistics company PostNord, a pair (yet) the Internet stores and services Volvo On Call. And only in Geterborge. But it looks like fun – if the purchaser chooses delivery in the car, the courier gets the exact coordinates and a one-time digital key. On reaching it unlocks the locks, leaving purchases in the trunk and closes the car. The client thus receives the SMS alert.
Service Volvo In-car Delivery launched on the eve of Christmas and endless shopping. Subsequently, Volvo plans to develop the network and offer the service in other countries. By the way, something similar this year Audi launched (in cooperation with DHL and Amazon), however, the project has the status of a pilot.
