Not only Mercedes can boast on the part of the drones at the auto show in Tokyo — Nissan has unveiled today the concept IDS with the autopilot system and all-electric filling. Incidentally, it is the harbinger of a new Leaf.
Not sure that he will get a full carbon body, folding wheel or such a cosmic onion, but I would like more just from concept. Space IDS, among other things, boasts a relatively spacious interior (thanks to the most “placed” axes) with four single chairs and two configurations under different flow regimes. Actually, the interesting one that suggests the autopilot — the steering wheel and tidy fully retracted in the front panel (however, displays this does not become less), and the seats are a little unfold to each other.
Even IDS is able to Park itself without the presence of a driver in the cabin, watch for pedestrians and warn them of the danger (with the lights and tickers). As luck installing it with a battery with a capacity of 60 kilowatt-hours — more than any details by filling in the “Nissan” do not open.
New Leaf is due out in 2017. And we really wonder what it will be, isn't it?
