Euro NCAP crash tests will add to the analysis of automatic braking systems

European Association of Euro NCAP, crash tests, the well known almost all new cars, adds new parameter testing programme-we are talking about analyzing a pedestrian detection system and automatic braking. This statement was made by the organization today and promised to introduce an additional test from next year.
The decision was due to the increasing popularity of such safety systems among motorists and more than active developments of various manufacturers in this field. Thus in Euro NCAP will show what technology companies cope with tasks better than others.
What to test methodology, it will proceed in three phases. The first involves the usual pedestrian crossing (i.e. pedestrian dummy, of course) before traveling by car, the second transition road quick step or even jogging. The third involves testing the output on the roadway of a child, due to parked at the edge of the roadway machines.
By the way, the Association has already sketched a few criteria for successful results, according to specialists, a car with a "proper" pedestrian detection system and automatic braking must stay with the speed of 40 km/h or, at least, almost completely stop maximum softening the blow.
Tests will be carried out and at a speed of almost 60 km/h and there are good points will receive a model sreagirovavšie so quickly to prevent death. The highest score, of course, get those that will be able to avoid a collision at all.
