The morning session of the fourth day of the test
The morning session of the fourth day of the test
As promised the forecast, the weather in Barcelona was spoiled. On the morning of the circuit were surrounded by clouds, strong wind was blowing, drizzle rain, and the air temperature was barely over +5C.
Compared to yesterday afternoon at four teams was the replacement pilots. Ferrari spent three days Alonso was replaced by Felipe Massa, Rosberg in the Mercedes was replaced by Lewis Hamilton, Hulkenberg gave way to the cockpit Sauber Esteban Gutierrez, and Force India behind the wheel sat the second candidate for a place in the line - Jules Bianchi.
The asphalt was slippery, the riders went out on intermediate tyres, but barely begun, the session was stopped red flags - Weight ended up in the gravel trap of the fourth turn. After another forty minutes van der garde took off in the last corner, then Gutierrez and Vergne with a small interval in the fifth.
The weather gradually improved, racers switched to slicks, fewer flights and many of them were able to drive a long series of circles. 15 minutes before the end of the session, van der garde second time was responsible for the appearance of red flags
In the first session on the first line of Lewis Hamilton, the greatest distance to gutiérrez. In Williams yesterday held twice a simulated race, and this morning focused on short laps from the exit to the entrance to the pits, so in the first session Bottas didn't get a single full circle.
After an hour break tests will continue.
