GP3: IN Estoril ended the first day of the test series

In Portuguese Estoril ended the first day of official pre-season tests GP3 series. The session was attended by 27 riders, including representatives of the new for GP3 teams Koiranen GP and Bamboo Engineering.
Riders for the first time has received a new machine with a more powerful engine (400 HP instead of the 280-last year's car), and in the morning adapt new technology. First on the track appeared Luis Sa Silva from Carlin, followed him and the others. In General, the session passed without incident.
The best time in the morning showed the thio Ellinas from Marussia Manor Racing, with the result 1:29,396, became the record for GP3 cars. The second was Daniel Kvyat, who plays for MW Arden, third David Romanelli from Trident.
After lunch, work began on speed. Racers got fresh rubber, the speed increased, and, consequently, tests were first interrupted by red flags unfurled Ethane of Angela from Bamboo Engineering.
Long been a leader Daniel Kvyat, who managed to lap in 1:27,616. And only 15 minutes before the end of the session it was able to block the companion MW Arden Carlos Sainz Jr.
The result Sainz was better at 0.8 seconds, and the Spaniard more than 3 seconds broke the course record. However, after the tests Daniel complained that he could not fully demonstrate your own pace, without spoiling the last set of fresh rubber.
