Believe me, last season we worked on every detail, so it was clear what direction you want to move. The result was this machine.
Question: What are the goals you set for yourself in the upcoming season?
Sebastian Vettel: So far I only know that we have a long and difficult season, and again a very important role to play stability. Of course, we hope that the new car will be fast from the very first metres - and then it will be necessary to achieve stability, but it depends on us. My prediction is this: the struggle again will be very sharp, because the technical regulations changed a little. This means that many teams will catch up to the leaders, so each race will be very important: each Grand Prix will have to be approached as if it's a crucial stage of the championship.
Question: You have already given your car a name in the continuation of an established tradition?



Sebastian Vettel: No, not yet, it needs some time. To come up with the name, you first need to know, isn't it? Because until I saw RB9 only a glimpse, behind the wheel did not sit down, for all I know, what her character? Usually I give the machine a name a week before the Grand Prix of Australia: after three test sessions I already'll have to learn. But this depends not only on me is teamwork! Together with our guys we get together to share your suggestions, and after that will start a heated discussion.
I would say that before this we always managed to find the perfect name for each machine on which I went, speaking for Red Bull Racing. As soon as the thing gets its own name, you already interact with it differently.
Question: do You already hear the inner voice that says: "You three have had success, why not be repeated for the fourth time?"
Sebastian Vettel: No, because your every achievement, each earned point is hard work. Of course, all competitors want to beat me, but I will strive to stay ahead of rivals: I want everyone to leave behind. But there are no guarantees, and you should just as well to perform your work. The three previous years was well for us, was that we set the standards in the Formula 1. And as soon as I wear a helmet, I want to repeat it again.
