Vintage brand of Russo-Balt can revive the presidential car production

The possibility to revive an old brand "Russo-Balt" to its framework to produce cars for government officials, including the President, according to "Izvestia"
The idea emerged in the framework of the project "Cortege", the idea of which is to transplant the government on domestic cars.



Earlier, it was reported that the role of the limousine for the President claimed three cars. Two of them have already done - this machine GAS and ZIL. They have in common the fact that both limo use ready-made solutions. For example, ZIL R equipped with old Soviet 7,7-liter engine, and all innovations, such as ABS and ESP, as well as five-speed automatic transmission, manufactured abroad.
Another project, from the research Institute in collaboration with "Marussia motors", by contrast, relies on the novelty. The project is being developed from scratch, so the first limousine will appear not earlier than 2017.
