Cyril Abiteboul: We want to become the most effective team

The head of Caterham F1 Cyril Abiteboul talked about goals for the 2013 season, and about the new car CT03 presented Tuesday morning in Jerez. . .

Cyril Abiteboul: "This is the first new machine, which was presented by the team from the moment I joined it is an important day. I am very pleased that we were able to use our resources and budget as effectively as possible, creating a machine that will allow us to strengthen the position of the team in the Formula 1, and as early as possible to begin work on the project for season 2014.

Externally, the most obvious change can be considered coloring CT03. Saving green and yellow, which were symbols of our team in 2010 year, we updated the color scheme, so that the machine has become more visible on the road. In our opinion, this is one of the best colorings on the pit lane.

This year our car will fly Charles Peak and Guido van der garde - these two pilots have a great combination of youth and experience gained in Formula 1, and beyond. Charles and Guido are young and energetic pilots, and we expect that their enthusiasm for the sport and desire to work in a team will be a factor in our growth. In addition, they are further proof of our commitment to help young talented pilots. Now any racer who dreams of Formula 1, knows that there is a direct route to the championship via our support pilots, whose format for the 2013 year will soon be presented.

Outside of the track we have a strong position. We have a small team, but we want to become the most efficient team of the Formula 1. Thanks to the determination that the selected approach and ongoing development, there is no reason that can interfere to achieve this, with the continued investment of our shareholders and partners.

Our partners GE/Safran, EADS/Airbus, Dell/Intel, McGregor and Renault are the envy of many on the pit lane. Our relationship with each of these companies continue to evolve, and we are pleased that they share our philosophy.

As part of the Caterham Group, we participate in the program Renault/Caterham Cars - one of the most interesting projects in the global automotive industry. This means that the season of 2013, we will begin in the role of the fifth manufacturer in Formula 1.

Transfer to Lipid helped to put it all together. Now we are settled in our new home and continue the integration of all departments, to better control the quality, cost and time performance of our supply chain. I'm sure eventually this will reduce the time on the range and to reduce the backlog of teams from the middle group.

CT03 - first car, built in Lipide. We realistically assess their chances and know that we don't have the fastest car, but we believe that this is one of the most beautiful cars in the season 2013th year. I will work to ensure that once we got not only beautiful, but also the fastest machine!"
