Minister of energy: gas prices in 2013, will grow by 13-14%

Rising prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in Russia in 2013 will average from 13% to 14%. This was announced today at a meeting in the Gorki energy Minister Alexander Novak.
In his words, "over the past year, the growth rate of fuel prices were below the level of inflation. In 2013 it is expected that the average price increase in the whole year will be from 13 to 14 percent." He added that the office today negotiating with oil companies that this increase has been for years even. "We'll be tracking", - said the Minister. He also noted that today the price of gasoline AI-92 and summer diesel fuel is actually below what they were in October - November 2012. Stable prices stayed in January 2013.


The energy Minister also said that the Ministry is working with the oil companies and wholesale suppliers in order to build reserves, "including at prices that exist today. The uniformity of formation of reserves will ensure the prevention of sharp price fluctuations," - said the Minister.
Recall that in Russia for several years, there are differential rates of excise taxes: lower the excise tax on fuel is more environmentally friendly class.
From 1 July 2012 were increased excise taxes on gasoline class Euro-2 and Euro-3, while the excise tax on Euro-4 remained unchanged, and Euro-5 decreased.
From 1 January 2013. the rate of excise duty on petrol Euro 5 will increase by almost 12%, and gasoline Euro-3 - 23%, gasoline Euro-2 - forbidden for circulation on the market.
Excise taxes on gasoline fourth class of 2013 increased to 8.56 thousand rubles per ton, 2014 9,416 thousand rubles per ton. Excise taxes on gasoline Euro-5 in 2013 and 2014 - 5,143 thousand and 5,657 thousand, respectively.
At the end of November 2011 was signed into law, providing for the indexing of certain excise taxes in 2012 in two stages, 1 January and 1 July and correcting the previously approved rate for the subsequent periods.
