Jenson Button: Yes, this is not quite what we wanted in the morning managed to pass all three circles, and then there was a problem. This sometimes happens. It took us a long time to solve the problem with the fuel pump - of course, we didn't expect that this will happen. Then I was able to get few good laps... generally feeling positive. . .

Jenson Button: If you forget about the results - I don't know how fast the new machine, it is not known what program are rivals, and behind only the first day of the tests. I was not worried - it is certainly a good basis for further work.
Leaving the boxes, I knew immediately that I am comfortable in the car. However, I must repeat: this is only the first day of the tests, I don't know, will the MP4-28 to win the championship. However, deciding on the morning of the problem, we are not faced with a new problem. Good news, isn't it?
Question: have You got what expected?
Jenson Button Day one of the tests we had hoped to get more 36 circles, but these things happen. I'm surprised this problem, but as I just said, after we fixed the problem, everything went quiet. The new machine is very similar to the one that I worked on the simulator - this is good news, plays an important role in future work on the MP4-28. Let's hope that the problem with the fuel pump is a single case in these tests, and we will now be able to count on the reliability of the machine.
Question: You have done, or something is not liked and you would like to change it?
Jenson Button: No, I don't want to change anything. Of course, in the following sessions we will improve the balance, but in this case the required tests. We try to maximize the potential of the machine in all areas. I still seat, so I was immediately comfortable, and with the machine all right! (laughs)
Question: What is for you is the fact that you showed on the first day of tests, the best time, ahead of rivals for a second?
Jenson Button: Who knows, how important is it really? Now lap time doesn't matter. Forget about this. As I said, feeling positive...
Question: What do you think about the new Pirelli tires?
Jenson ButtonIn the morning session, I used Soft and was looking for a basic setup, but the rubber started to granulomatosa after the first round. In addition, we worked with Medium and Hard, but the feeling is different from last year.
I think rubber is better. To find a compromise between a good time on the range and wear again will not be easy, but in Pirelli did a great job, increasing the working temperature range of tyres. We were unable to do last year.
Question: Everyone says that the new car McLaren looks very good. . .
Jenson Button For me it is not the main advantage of the machine. However, staying yesterday on the highway and looking at the car from the side, I can say that it looks attractive. When designing the machine you proceed not from how it will look - it all depends on the efficiency and clamping force, but, of course, always a pleasure to pilot a beautiful machine.
