Net profit of the German car manufacturer Daimler AG (formerly DaimlerChrysler AG) in 2012 increased by 8.3% and amounted to 6.5 billion euros, while in 2011 this figure was fixed at € 6.0 billion. Reported today financial report of the group.
The group's revenue for 2012 increased by 7.3%, reaching 114.3 billion euros against 106.5 billion euros a year earlier. EBIT (earnings before deduction of interest on borrowed funds and taxes) from continuing operations over the past year amounted to 8.1 billion euros - 10% less than in 2011, when the company showed EBIT $ 9.0 billion euros.
The company has declared a cash dividend for the year of € 2.2 € per share.
A division of Daimler Trucks once again demonstrated the increase in the number of sold cars and earnings, despite the volatile operating environment on the market.

In addition, the company expects that the second half of 2013 will be more successful than the first. Thus, the EBIT for the second half of 2013 should be higher than the figure for the first six months of 2013. According to the results of 2013, EBIT is expected approximately at the level of 2012.
