All-new mid-size Jeep to use Fiat платформа. The first Jeep to be created under Fiats ownership of the brand will be placed at this months Detroit motor show. The replacement for the Liberty may also revive the Cherokee nameplate, canned when the original Liberty was launched in 2001.
The new car uses a variation of Fiats Compact Wide платформа, called Compact US Wide. Its been to be enlarged suitable for vehicles such as the new Джип, and is capable of taking four-wheel drive. Its already used in the Dodge Dart.
Although the new Jeep will use a front-drive biased set-up, it will come with four-wheel drive and should possess an element of off-road ability.
