Jaguar Land Rover is expanded with a new plant for the production of engines in the UK
Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed its intention to invest 355 million pounds in a new plant for the production of the latest technological and environmentally friendly engines in the UK.
The official announcement about these investment companies JLR, subsidiaries, India's Tata Motors, which was held at the automobile plant in Solihull, was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg Nick Clegg and Secretary of state for innovation and new technologies in business Dr Vince cable (Vince Cable). The new plant is modern engines will be built in the business Park i54 South Staffordshire near Wolverhampton in Central England. Managing Director at JLR Dr. Ralph Sung (Ralf Speth said: "as part of our long-term business development strategy we are going to design, develop and create new family of high-tech engines. This is an extremely important task for our company, and we will be releasing a modern, high-performance engines for future models of Jaguar and Land Rover at a new plant in the UK. In the next five years we plan to invest 1.5 billion pounds per year to develop new products and expand the range of engines will help us fully realize the global potential of brands Jaguar and Land Rover. The newest family of 4-cylinder engines will expand the range of JLR highly efficient engines with the most advanced in its class technology, and once again will reduce emissions of company cars". Mike Wright Mike Wright, Executive Director of JLR, said: "I would like to specially acknowledge the strong support that we received from our key partners. Constructive assistance we received from the government, our colleagues from the trade unions, local authorities, local MPs and, of course, our employees, has become a decisive factor in making this important decision." It is expected that the plant to produce engines will create 750 jobs for highly skilled engineers and workers in JLR, as well as thousands of other places for highly skilled workers in the supply chain and other companies in the UK economy.
