Inspired by their participation at the grueling 24 hour endurance race of the same name, the track-ready iteration equips the Lexus with 10 more horsepower, revamped automatic transmission with 0. 05 second quicker shifts (shifts take 0. 15 sec), sport-tuned suspension, and improved aero by means of a fixed rear wing, exclusive mesh wheels and tires, canards, larger front spoiler and fin-type side spoilers, all molded from carbon fiber. The modification house plans to up the rarity by taking three Lexuses and converting them to the CEC Tuner Edition LFA. Available on any trim from the factory, pictured at the debut gala was the LFA Nürburgring package with the CEC accents. Outfitted with forged rims manufactured in Italy, the Tuner Edition LFA had two designs on either side: the split five-spoke C882 in silver and the thin five-spoke C884 in a dark finish. Sized at 21-inch, each rim weighs in at a scant 21 lbs. , or what calculates out to a pound per inch in diameter. Mounted on the huge wheels are Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. While the LFA on display was only altered with their wheels, the complete version will have the exterior and interior adorned with carbon fiber pieces, an inspiration from the factorys extensive use of the lightweight material. Pricing and availability on the CEC Tuner Edition has yet to be announced.
