June 14, VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus and GAZ Group signed a long-term agreement contract Assembly 110 000 cars at the GAZ plant in Nizhny Novgorod. As noted by the President of GAZ Group Bo Andersson, a trial batch Skoda Yeti will start to collect on Gaza in June of the current year and since the beginning of 2012 will be the turn of the new Volkswagen Jetta and Skoda Octavia. Large-scale production is scheduled to deploy in late 2012 - early 2013. Announced volume production of 110,000 vehicles are expected to achieve by the beginning of 2015, and 50 000 will share Octavia, 40 000 on the Jetta, the remaining 20 000 - Yeti. According to the Executive Vice President of VOLKSWAGEN Group Rus Detlef Wittig, partners have plans to put on Gas a fourth model, but it is not yet disclosed. The project will invest 200 million euros, of which 80 million will put the "GAZ Group, part of a group of Oleg Deripaska's Basic Element, another 120 million German concern. Contribution VOLKSWAGEN will be the modern technology, which completely fits into the concept of a Treaty on industrial Assembly, entered into by the group with the Government of the Russian Federation. Answering the question of the correspondent of zr. EN Maxim Yurchenko, Detlef Wittig said that the agreement signed with the "GAZ Group" is a part of the aforementioned agreement on industrial Assembly. In accordance with this agreement on Gas organize a full production cycle. Our immediate goal is to establish the production of bodies for models from Skoda imported from abroad stamping. Already in the early stages of the project implementation, the level of localization for Skoda will be 60 - 65%, and for the Jetta will reach 70%.
